‘Today is Friday’ to vie at Santa Fe filmfest

The Santa Fe filmfest in is to screen Iran’s short ‘Today in Friday’.

The Santa Fe Film Festival in the US is set to screen Iranian short film ‘Today in Friday’.

Directed by Mohammad Ahangar, the 14-minute short film will be among the competition titles of the American film event’s 21st edition.

No details on the plot summary of the flick have been disclosed to the media for the film that has Azadeh Seifi, Farid Qobadi, Kaveh Ahangar and Pedram Jame’-Bozorg as its cast members.

‘Today is Friday’ has already taken part in a number of global events, including the MIKROFAF Film Festival in Serbia and the Canberra Short Film Festival in Australia.

The five-day Santa Fe Film Festival is a celebration of the best cinematic arts from around the world.

A statement published on the website of the festival reads, “Our annual event honors everyone working both on and off screen to bring the best of film creation, production and showings to the public. We constantly seek improvement in our line of respective crafts and provide filmmakers with resources to pursue their dreams further”.

The 21st edition of the Santa Fe Film Festival is slated for February 17-21, 2021.
